Daily Scripture Reading: Matthew 21:12-17
Life fills quickly. Our minds stay busy. Our attention gets pulled in so many directions that by the end of the day, we can feel spent and scattered. What we hoped would be time with God can slowly get pushed aside by everything else asking for our focus.
Jesus meets us there with grace.
When He enters the temple, He clears away what did not belong so the house of God could return to its purpose. In a similar way, He still comes to the crowded places in us. He comes with authority and with love, drawing our hearts back to what matters most.
This is the invitation before us today. Make room for Him again. Return to the quiet place of prayer. Bring Him the hurried thoughts, the full schedule, and the noise within. Let His presence reorder what has felt crowded in your soul.
So choose a time and a place today. Set distractions aside. Open your hands in prayer and tell Him what has been taking your attention. Ask Him to teach you how to slow down and how to seek Him first. Then protect that moment. What begins as a small act of devotion can become a steady rhythm of meeting with God.
From the temple courts to the heart you carry into this day, He’s still the King.
Guiding Question: Is there anything in my life that needs to be reordered so God can take first place?
Guiding Kidspoint Question: Is there anything in my life that needs to be reordered so God can take first place?
Prayer: Jesus, You are still the King. Reorder what has gotten out of place in me. Restore prayer and worship to the center of my life, and teach me to make room for You again. Amen.
