The Merge: 6-8 Grade
SUNDAY MORNING
10:45 - 11:45
Middle Schoolers start off in worship with the adults and high schoolers and head to the Youth Room after Intermission. We normally start of with stories of the previous week and a fun game or skit. We follow this with a lesson that corresponds to the game or skit that we did before. Our lessons are typically over people in the Bible and how they handle situations that middle schoolers are faced with or may be faced with. We decide together what choices are the best to make in situations they might face, and then they encourage one another to make these choices in their lives. Our goal is to give Biblical application to a Middle Schooler's every day life choices and encourage them to apply these truths to their lives so that they might live as an example to those around them.
SUNDAY EVENING
5:00 - 7:00
The Merge is a service just for youth and meets at 5:00pm at the church. This group combines music, a light-hearted game time, and an easy to understand review of the Sunday morning lesson. We want to break up the stereotype that most middle schoolers have of God. The truth is, God is totally in love with us, He has great plans for us, and He really wants us to have joy in our lives!
WHAT'S GOING ON?
April 3rd - 4th:
In just a few short weeks, it will be time for Middle School CIY! This is an overnight trip the kids look forward to all year long! The event will begin Friday night and we will return to the church on Saturday evening.
