How does the leadership of LifePoint work?
According to Matthew 16:18 Jesus is the head of the church. Jesus’ disciples established the elders seek Jesus’ direction and lead the church directly (Acts 11:30; 14:23; 15:2-6; 20:17 and Titus 1:5).
The qualifications of an elder are found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. We also see in Acts 6:1-6 how deacons/deaconesses were appointed by elders to run specific ministries. At LifePoint we refer to them as Ministry Leaders.
