Why does membership even matter in the church?

When it comes to membership in our church we want that to be personal and dynamic.  We would love for you to become a part of the family.    In Acts 2:43-47 we see the beginning of the local church.  Right from the very start we see that the church does not function at its highest capacity unless the people within the church have a connection with each other.  Local churches are local families, linked together, where we build each other up and work together locally for the cause of Christ.
